Richmond, VA (PRWEB) October 26, 2015
Proxios has partnered with the Sunshine Ballpark Foundation to back its efforts in offering educational activities and specialized programs to Fredericksburg area children, especially at-risk ones, creating an opportunity for them to thrive in a safe, enriching environment.
Proxios is donating IT services, empowering the Sunshine Ballpark Foundation with its Desktop as a Service (DaaS) solution, which the organization can use to further its community efforts. The DaaS offering is a cloud-based service that delivers the applications needed for use on a virtual desktop, and also handles storage, upgrades, and security. This worry-free IT solution is a real asset to the foundation in better serving out its vision to area children.
Although Proxios is an industry-leading cloud provider throughout North America, the business is also the local IT go-to point for regional businesses moving to the cloud. Proxios stays well versed in the region, and believes the Sunshine Ballpark Foundation is a perfect outlet in which to provide charitable support to the community.
“Working with a group like Sunshine Ballpark Foundation truly brings it all home for us,” said Steve Fey, Proxios’ president. “Supporting this meaningful organization in helping the children of our region reminds us all of how important such local efforts are, and we are proud to be a part of it.”
The non-profit, 501(c)(3) foundation is currently building funds for a third ball field, and also offers regular programs and camps, as well as athletic and educational equipment and supplies. For more details on donations, visit: http://www.sunshineballpark.org/#!donate/cbnq.
About the Sunshine Ballpark Foundation
The Sunshine Ballpark Foundation was established in 2010 and continues the fundraising and development programs that began in 2006 with The Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation's "Play Ball Fredericksburg" initiative. The local Board of Trustees raised over $2.5 million from the community to build Phase I of Sunshine Ballpark and has provided resources and programs to more than 4,000 children throughout the Fredericksburg region each year. The new Sunshine Ballpark is designed to host these programs and the exciting Center for Exploration gives children the opportunity to participate in the scientific deep sea exploration activities conducted through the Ballard Institute's Jason Project, as well as in our Engineering for Kids initiative.
Proxios believes that all companies, regardless of size, need high performance, secure, and cost effective IT solutions, so that the resources and energy of the organization are focused on what really matters – the business at hand.
