Survey seeks to identify priorities and preparedness for managing tomorrow’s workforce

Brandon Hall Group, the leading independent Human Capital Management research/analyst firm, today launched new research that examines current talent management practices and seeks to develop forward-looking insights on how the best organizations acquire, manage, and upgrade talent.

The survey is targeted for senior business leaders and talent and human resources leaders and practitioners globally in all industries, and in organizations of all sizes.

The survey can be accessed here (https://www.research.net/r/LC26W63) and takes less than 20 minutes to complete. Questions the research intends to answer include:

  • What are today’s talent management trends and challenges?
  • What are tomorrow’s new approaches to managing talent?
  • What business outcomes can we expect from a new portfolio of innovative approaches to managing talent?

This project is part of an annual effort to assess current practices and identify trends in effective change in each of Brandon Hall Group’s five practice areas – Learning and Development, Talent Management, Leadership Development, Talent Acquisition, and HR/Workforce Management.

The Talent Management research, which will include qualitative data from extensive interviews with business and talent management/HR leaders, will yield the first of Brandon Hall Group’s major 2016 HCM Perspective Reports, scheduled for release in January.

Brandon Hall Group CEO Mike Cooke, in announcing the research launch, said: “Talent functions nearly everywhere have reached a significant inflection point. They must start now in implementing new, innovative, agile approaches to acquiring, developing, and managing talent to enable tomorrow’s organizational performance and success. The answers business leaders seek lie in discovering and implementing a brand new approach to managing talent. To that end, we launch this survey.”

Laci Loew, leader of Brandon Hall Group’s Talent Management Practice and principal author of the survey, added: “To compete and thrive, organizations have one option: shift how, where, with whom, and by whom work gets done. These changes demand accelerated innovation and agility, and for most, the turning upside down of their workforce. Senior business leaders and talent professionals can no longer rely on traditional, soon obsolete, talent and leadership practices to drive a marked impact on business results. This research will provide the insight business leaders need to move forward, armed with compelling data.”
