AGRO Merchants Group Completes Expansion at Coldstore Urk B.V. in The Netherlands
Atlanta, GA, USA (PRWEB) October 21, 2015 -- On October 15, AGRO Merchants Group completed the expansion of Coldstore Urk B.V. located in Urk, the Netherlands. The strategic investment now brings their total capacity to more than 28,000 pallets, a 40% increase. Coldstore Urk specializes in the fish logistics sector and provides a comprehensive range of services including: transport, Border Inspection Post (B.I.P.), warehousing, repacking, picking and other value-added services. The expansion will continue to strengthen AGRO’s leadership in Europe and emphasize their continued focus of investing in modern assets and technologies to ensure the highest quality supply chain management standards in the industry.

Coldstore Urk B.V. is a major hub for the fish industry. This strategic location provides them with the opportunity to readily move fish products on LTL and FTL base within 48 hours to destinations in Europe within a range of 1200 km, as well as to export product to other continents. The recently opened expansion fulfills a demand from clients for order-picking services by adding 3,000 pallet positions and an 800 m2 loading area with 6 bays.
This is the sixth expansion project in a series of investments by AGRO Merchants since May 2014. Other expansion investments include Mullica Hill Cold Storage in New Jersey; Gestion Frio Algeciras (GFA) located inside the Port of Algeciras, Spain; Icestar, located in Santiago, Chile; ADB Cool Company near Rotterdam, the Netherlands and Dean’s Services in Oakland, California.
