“Managers in most organizations have a lot on their plate,” says Terryberry CEO Mike Byam. ”The AwardYourTeam program reduces roadblocks to recognition. The result is that employees get more of the recognition they need to be at their best every day."

Terryberry, a global provider of employee recognition programs and solutions for human resources management, has released AwardYourTeam, a new web-based program designed to help busy managers recognize their employees’ contributions more consistently and effectively.
Inadequate recognition for contributions is a leading cause of voluntary employee turnover; and effective employee recognition is the number 1 driver of employee engagement. As a result, most organizations invest in employee recognition programs for their business. However, surveys consistently indicate that inadequate participation and involvement from managers is the top challenge with organizational employee recognition programs.
The AwardYourTeam program is a new module in Terryberry’s 360 Recognition Platform that is specifically designed to increase managers’ ability to give the positive reinforcement and recognition necessary to engage their team members.
“Managers in most organizations have a lot on their plate,” says Terryberry’s CEO Mike Byam. “The AwardYourTeam program reduces roadblocks to recognition, and helps make the process easier. The result is that employees get more of the recognition they need to be at their best every day.”
The AwardYourTeam program enables organizations to give department heads or managers an online dashboard for employee recognition within their business units.
Managers can view their employees’ recognition profiles, which can include career milestones, achievement awards, and recognition received by their team members. Notifications instantly inform team leaders regarding the recognition received by employees that report directly to them. This prompts an action for the manager to comment or applaud. Alerts can be received via text alert, email, or push notification in the 360 Recognition app. Managers can also be allotted a monthly budget for discretionary rewards within their team.
“The idea behind AwardYourTeam is to make recognition more visible and accessible to supervisors. Visibility and accessibility are critical for effective manager-to-employee recognition.” says Byam.
The AwardYourTeam program is another in Terryberry’s continued growth and development of the 360 Recognition Platform which is designed as a central hub for employee recognition in an organization and includes modules for service awards, performance points recognition, recognition training, and peer-to-peer recognition.
