An Exciting New Beginning for La Niche Boutique
Frederick, Maryland (PRWEB) October 22, 2015 -- The Downtown Frederick Partnership recently celebrated the grand opening of La Niche Boutique at 134 N East St, on Wednesday, October 21st, where the the occasion was marked with commemoration from local officials and community organizations, as well as a ribbon cutting.
Owner, Veronica Burnside, opened the event to friends, neighbors, community members, local organizations and representatives from the Frederick City and County governments to join in the special event. Burnside has said that her eclectic sense of taste, style and design has always been noted by friends and family and her boutique is the perfect combination of her personality. La Niche Boutique features a variety of products, including accessories, clothing, and home décor and is perfect store to find a gift for any occasion.
This is actually the second location for Burnside. While the plan was always to eventually open a shop in Frederick, the circumstances that led her open this new shop were anything but what a new business owner expects to encounter in the first year of business. La Niche Boutique’s original location was in Harpers Ferry, but just 10 months after opening, a fire destroyed her store and all of her merchandise. Despite going through such a catastrophe, Burnside radiates positivity and you would never know that she has had to deal with so much in the first year of establishing her business.
Upon opening the new store in Downtown Frederick’s Shab Row, Burnside has said that she has been flooded with well wishes from new neighbors and fellow merchants and that the new space has been embraced by both new and old customers, alike.
"With much gratitude, I'd like to thank everyone for the kind words and outreach of support as I start my new adventure. You're never really prepared for such life changing events. My heart and soul are in my business and my family keeps me moving forward. I tell myself, ‘You just need to pick yourself up and continue on with the journey,’" Veronica commented when asked about opening the new space.
The shop is a wonderful addition to the Downtown Frederick community and Downtown Frederick Partnership is certain that a great mix of unique products coupled with Burnside’s tenacity and positivity, that La Niche will soon become a Frederick institution.
