Instec, the leading provider of policy administration systems to the program and specialty markets, today announced that that they have added noted insurance industry veteran Chuck Fillizola to its board of directors. He is currently CIO of Orchid Underwriters Agency.
“We are pleased to add Chuck to our board of directors” said Ray Simon, President and CEO of Instec. “His experience and deep knowledge of the insurance industry, from both a technology and business point of view, will be very valuable to Instec as we expand the depth and breadth of our product offering.”
Fillizola brings a wealth of industry experience to Instec, at a time when the company is seeing some of the most dramatic growth in its history, with the addition of six new clients in the span of five months. Having spearheaded new technology initiatives as CIO of Orchid Underwriters and, prior to that, as CIO at Sompo Japan Nipponkoa America, and as a Director at Munich Re, he understands the importance of software like Instec’s from the customer’s perspective. He also spent over 10 years as a service provider in the insurance industry as Vice President of Product and Business Strategy at CSC and President of MFX.
“I’m excited to join Instec at this time. With their recent wins, the success of Quicksolver, their rich bureau content and Cirrus offering, Instec occupies a unique place in the industry,” said Fillizola. “Since becoming a client of Instec over 15 years ago, I have witnessed many of their competitors fail to deliver the promised value to their customers, while Instec consistently outperformed expectations with the highest level of integrity. In a fast-moving and highly-competitive industry like ours, speed and quality are critical, and Instec delivers on both counts.”
