Our hiring decisions have been the key to EBS’ growth. Not only is our team incredibly knowledgeable about the built environment, but each member is genuinely passionate and committed to the mission…
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) October 22, 2015
Very few companies have the honor of ranking on the San Francisco Business Times’ “Fast 100” three years in a row. Environmental Building Strategies (EBS), a San Francisco-based real estate strategy and consulting firm, now holds such an honor. The ranking was announced Tuesday night during an awards ceremony at the Fairmont in San Francisco. After ranking 25th in 2013 and 58th in 2014, EBS Consultants ranked 48th on this year’s list.
To qualify for the 2015 list, EBS had to meet high standards. The company had to be an independent, privately held corporation, proprietorship, or partnership throughout 2014. They had to meet the geographic qualifications and have a three-year sales history. The team also needed to show net revenue of more than $200,000 during the fiscal year of 2012. EBS met these requirements and exceeded the lofty expectations of their peers with a revenue growth of 136%. The average growth of all 100 companies was 123%.
When asked about the root of their success, the answer comes to down two keys elements: the EBS team and the relationships they build with their clients.
“Our hiring decisions have been the key to EBS’ growth,” says EBS Controller and Partner Burke Pemberton. “Not only is our team incredibly knowledgeable about the built environment, but each member is genuinely passionate and committed to the mission… We don’t dictate how team members spend their time. This culture of autonomy, combined with an innate sense of purpose fosters a highly effective workforce. The long-term value generated by hiring a team that is engaged with our mission yields far greater results.”
Environmental Building Strategies is disrupting the world of high-performance building solutions. The small company’s client portfolio includes some of the biggest names in Silicon Valley. Corporations, organizations, and municipalities turn to EBS to lower the environmental impact of business decisions and drive up the effectiveness and efficiency of built environments. The EBS team focuses on building relationships with clients and partners that are equally passionate about making socially just and environmentally equitable decisions.
EBS was recognized at an October 20th gala ceremony and will be featured in the October 23rd print edition of the San Francisco Business Times.
