Andrews International Execs at IACP 2015 and OSAC’s LARC Meeting
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) October 23, 2015 -- More than 14,000 public safety and security professionals are descending on Chicago’s McCormick Place West next week for the largest law enforcement event of the year, the 122nd Annual IACP Conference and Exposition. From October 24 to October 27, the International Association of Chiefs of Police is bringing thousands of chiefs and future law enforcement leaders together with industry veterans, suppliers, and thought leaders from around the world. Senior executives from Andrews International, an affiliate of U.S. Security Associates, attend this event every year.
Jim Milford, senior vice president of Andrews International’s Consulting, Investigations and International (CI&I) division, is attending IACP 2015. Milford had a 26-year career with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration before transitioning into the private sector as co-founder of Verasys, LLC, a Miami-based consulting firm focused on risk management and investigations. Milford joined Andrews International’s CI&I division when the company acquired Verasys in 2009. He currently manages teams providing litigation support, business intelligence, fraud investigations, and other consulting and investigations services for clients around the world.
Milford makes the annual IACP conference a priority. "It’s a great opportunity to share intelligence, strategies, and solutions for dealing with the latest threats to public safety and security,” he says. “From exchanging information about best practices and experiences to broadening our connections in the law enforcement community, our time at the IACP conference is always productive." This year’s conference schedule includes 200+ education workshops and a multitude of networking and community-building events, with more than 650 exhibitors in the IACP 2015 Exposition Hall.
D.C. Page, senior vice president of Andrews International’s CI&I division, is missing the IACP conference this year due to a conflict with OSAC’s Latin American Regional Council (LARC) meeting in Bogotá, Colombia, where Page is speaking about kidnap threats around the world. A former special investigator and senior special agent with the U.S. Customs Service, Page is now the head of consulting, investigations and international operations for Andrews International, overseeing projects ranging from threat assessments and executive protection details to emergency response operations, asset tracing, and anti-money laundering compliance investigations.
According to Page, OSAC’s Latin American Regional Council meeting, like IACP’s annual conference, is a valuable opportunity for his team to share expertise and insights with others who have mutual interests. OSAC promotes security cooperation between the U.S. Department of State and American private sector companies that operate abroad. “OSAC constituents and our clients with global operations face many of the same safety and security challenges. This event is a good forum for all of us to learn and benefit from one another’s experiences.”
