Lightology Supports Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Contemporary lighting retailer Lightology celebrates Breast Cancer Awareness Month by donating 10% of profits to local and national charities for two weeks.

We're very fortunate to be in a position to give back to those in need of support.

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, Lightology will be donating 10% of all proceeds from October 15th to October 31st to the University of Chicago Cancer Research Foundation.

Our team is more than happy to raise awareness for women’s health and contribute to breast cancer research, recovery, and rehabilitation in hopes of making a difference,” states Greg Kay, President of Lightology

National Breast Cancer Awareness Month (NBCAM) was created in 1985. The original goal was to advocate mammography as the most useful tool to fight breast cancer. The iconic pink ribbon came later in 1991 and continues to be a powerful symbol of support for breast cancer awareness.

Lightology is proud to support and donate to the University of Chicago Cancer Research Foundation. The Foundation is globally recognized for its Nobel Prize-winning scientists in medicine and for advancing innovative ideas in a setting that connects the laboratory, clinic, and community. Through their brilliant research, the University of Chicago Medicine Comprehensive Cancer Center has made valiant strides towards the prevention, early detention and treatment of cancer.
