Leading CEOs to Present at The 7th Annual New Venture Program Kick-Off Event Held at Harvard Business School
Boston, MA (PRWEB) October 27, 2015 -- Harvard Business School Association of Boston (HBSAB) will launch its 2016 New Venture Program (NVP) with its kick -off event titled, “The Start Up Journey” at Harvard Business School, Boston, MA. Monday, November 2, 2015 at 5:30p.m.
As part of Harvard Business School’s annual New Venture Competition, HBSAB hosts a new venture program and competition for alumni in the New England region. As the formal kick-off to the HBSAB 2015-16 Alumni New Venture Program (NVP), the event will feature four entrepreneurs who are leading CEOs from the Boston-area who will share their insights and perspectives on building early-stage companies; the highs and lows of their journeys, from start-up to exit.
Speakers include:
• Brian Halligan: Co-Founder & CEO, HubSpot
• Art Papas: Co-Founder & CEO, Bullhorn
• Jules Pieri: Co-Founder & CEO, The Grommet
• Gary Ambrosino: CEO, TimeTrade
Angelo Santinelli, Adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurship at Babson College and HBS Alumni will moderate the event. Among topics to be discussed include; getting a venture started, assembling a great team, securing financing, going to market and exit strategies.
With more than half of HBS alumni classifying themselves as entrepreneurs at some point in their lives, the HBS New Venture Competition is designed to support alumni in launching promising new businesses and social-impact ventures. The global 2016 competition offers three prizes of $25,000 each and is open to all alumni worldwide. The HBSAB New Venture Program is open to startup teams in the New England region with at least one HBS alumni as a founder or key executive; New England teams will compete for a $10,000 cash prize. NVP includes a series of events starting on November 2nd and ends with the NVP Global Finals on April 26th.
