We always strive to be on the cutting edge of skilled nursing and rehabilitation services in order to provide the care, attention attention and treatment seniors deserve.
DILLSBURG, Pa. (PRWEB) October 27, 2015
Presbyterian Senior Living announced it has received designation as a NICHE (Nurses Improving Care for Healthsystem Elders) Facility. This makes Presbyterian Senior Living among the first long-term care organizations to attain this independent affiliation.
“Our commitment to residents is consistent with the mission of NICHE,” said Teresa Buchman, RN, BSN, corporate director of clinical services at Presbyterian Senior Living. “As a patient-centered organization, we are strong advocates for the types of sensitive and exemplary care that NICHE promotes. We always strive to be on the cutting edge of skilled nursing and rehabilitation services in order to provide the care, attention and treatment seniors deserve.”
The NICHE designation indicates a commitment to elder care excellence. In order to receive this designation, 11 Presbyterian Senior Living community health centers participated in a Leadership Training Program. Steering committees from these programs developed strategic plans and clinical and operational priorities through a review of performance improvement and risk management data. This plan was then submitted to NICHE for acceptance.
“Presbyterian Senior Living shows a tremendous commitment to meet the most critical challenge of our times: quality care of older adults,” said Barbara Bricoli, executive director, NICHE, New York University College of Nursing. “Its dedication to drive continuous improvement processes and enhance care marks it as a leader in the field.”
