Marking a Year of Impact in the Lives of Children and Families at the 2015 KVC Health Systems Annual Celebration
Olathe, KS (PRWEB) October 28, 2015 -- KVC Health Systems, a national leader in child welfare and behavioral healthcare, will unveil its impact in the lives of children and families over the past year during the 2015 Annual Celebration taking place October 30 at the Ball Conference Center in Olathe, Kan. During the program, KVC will also present its 45th Hero Award to director, President and Chief Executive Officer of Blue Valley Ban Corp and the Bank Bob Regnier, and recognize Wayne Sims on his 35th anniversary as KVC Health Systems’ Chief Executive Officer.
KVC touches the lives of tens of thousands of children and families each year through its diverse continuum of services including foster care, adoption, in-home family therapy, behavioral healthcare, outpatient services, and children’s psychiatric hospitals. In the 2015 fiscal year, KVC achieved these national results:
• Directly touched 59,638 people’s lives
• Matched 485 children with adoptive families
• Supported 6,561 children in caring foster families
• Treated 3,064 youth at our children’s psychiatric hospitals
• Helped 26,638 children and adults with in-home therapy and other critical support

Each year, KVC recognizes an individual, couple or company who has partnered with the organization in its vision to change the face of child welfare in our nation. Bob Regnier will be the recipient of the 45th Hero Award during the Annual Celebration. Mr. Regnier has been a director and the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company and the Bank since their formation in 1989. He has also been the sole director and President and Chief Executive Officer of Blue Valley Investment Corporation since its formation in 1995, and of Blue Valley Building Corp. since its formation in 1994. Mr. Regnier has over 40 years of experience in a number of banking areas, including lending, investments, personnel, administration, trust operations, new business development and mergers. He has served on countless non-profit boards, foundations and committees in Kansas City and established the Regnier Family Foundations with his siblings in 2012. KVC Health Systems is thankful for the generous support from the Regnier Family Foundations and the Bank of Blue Valley.
During the celebration, KVC will also recognize Wayne Sims on his 35th anniversary as Chief Executive Officer of KVC Health Systems. Mr. Sims took the helm of KVC in 1980 and has also served on its Board of Directors since 1987. In the past 35 years, he has grown the organization exponentially from a single home for at-risk boys in Kansas to a $135-million national organization serving tens of thousands of children and families in Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Kentucky and West Virginia. As a result of KVC’s unique family-centered practice model which uses evidence-based practices to achieve strong outcomes, the Annie E. Casey Foundation recognized KVC as a one of only four national best-practice organizations in the country.
