Five European telcos shortlisted for Telecom IPO of the Year at TMT Finance World 2015 Awards
London, UK (PRWEB UK) 27 October 2015 -- Five European telecom IPOs, which raised a total of six billion Euros, have been shortlisted for the Telecom IPO of the Year 2015 at the upcoming TMT Finance World 2015 Awards to be presented in London on December 1.
The successful stock market debuts, came from cable operators TeleColumbus of Germany (raising E367m) and Euskatel (E763.88m) in Spain; mobile towerco operators Cellnex (E2.14bn) of Spain, and INWIT (E780m) of Italy; and Swiss mobile operator Sunrise’s public debut which raised 2 billion Swiss Francs (US$2.2bn) in February.
“It’s been a bumper year for telecom IPOs in Europe and the shortlist shows strong market appetite for companies that approach public listings with the right criteria and timing,” said TMT Finance Editor Ben Nice. “We are looking forward to assessing the shortlist with the Judges Panel and celebrating the winners, especially as there is another strong pipeline of telecom IPOs for 2016.”
Nine investment banks are featured as advisers on the shortlist including: Banca IMI, Caixabank, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Mediobanca, Morgan Stanley, Rothschild and UBS.
The shortlist, along with eight other TMT Finance Awards, will be assessed by a Judges Panel comprising 15 of the most experienced and active TMT bankers and advisers globally and presented at the Pullman Hotel, London St Pancras on December 1. Awards will also be presented for Telecom Deal of the Year - M&A; Telecom Deal of the Year – Infrastructure; Telecom Deal of the Year – Debt; TMT Leadership; TMT M&A Adviser; TMT Growth Story; TMT Financing Bank; and TMT Legal Adviser.
The Telecom IPO of the Year 2015 shortlist is:
1. Cellnex IPO (raised E2.14bn)
• Banks: Morgan Stanley, Caixabank and Goldman Sachs were global coordinators
• Stock Exchange: Madrid
• No. of shares: 140 million
• Company valuation at time of listing: E3.24bn
• Price range prior to listing: E12 to E14 per share
• Price 30 days after listing: E15.86
2. Euskaltel IPO (raised E763.88m)
• Banks: JPMorgan Chase and UBS were joint coordinators; Rothschild was financial adviser
• Stock Exchange: Barcelona, Bilbao, Madrid and Valencia
• No. of shares: 80.4 million
• Company valuation at time of listing: E1.2bn
• Price range prior to listing: E8.7 to E11.05 per share
• Price 30 days after listing: E11.48
3. Sunrise IPO (raised US$2.2bn)
• Banks: Deutsche Bank AG and UBS AG were joint global coordinators and joint bookrunners
• Stock Exchange: SIX Swiss Exchange
• No. of shares: 20 million (new); 29.3 million (total)
• Company valuation at time of listing: CHF3.1bn (US$3.15bn)
• Price range prior to listing: CHF58 (US$59) to CHF78 (US$79) per share

4. Tele Columbus IPO (raised E367m)
• Banks: Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan were global coordinators
• Stock Exchange: Frankfurt

• Company valuation at time of listing: E950m (inc. debt)
• Price range prior to listing: E8-E10 per share

5. INWIT IPO (raised E780m)
• Banks: Banca IMI, Deutsche Bank AG and Mediobanca were joint global coordinators
• Stock Exchange: Milan
• No. of shares listed: 239.8 million

• Price range prior to listing: E3.25 to E3.95
