Additionally, The Inn on Woodlake, the boutique hotel at Destination Kohler, ranked #14 in the Top 15 Hotels in the Midwest.

Considered one of the most trusted “Best of the Best” travel industry awards, the annual Readers’ Choice Awards saw a record 128,000 readers cast votes. The Readers’ Choice awards are judged on rooms, service, location, dining, design and activities, and value.

“To consistently be ranked in the Readers’ Choice awards is a great honor,” added Michael Belot, General Manager for Destination Kohler. “Our staff prides themselves on providing memorable experiences and we are pleased to be endorsed as a world-class destination by travel enthusiasts.”

Originally constructed in 1918 as a temporary home for immigrants who worked in the Kohler factory, The American Club was redesigned as an elegant resort hotel in 1981. It is now considered one of the finest in the country. This grand Tutor style building houses 241 elegant guest rooms, 12 dining options – including the award-winning Immigrant Restaurant – and a 21,000 square foot state-of-the-art conference facility. Recognized by the Historic Hotels of America, The American Club offers the finest modern amenities in a luxurious Old World atmosphere, and is renowned both as a romantic getaway and an upscale meeting destination.

The American Club is also the home to The Carriage House, which recently underwent an extensive three-year renovation. This 55-room annex to The American Club is situated in the same historic building as the award-winning, Five-Star Kohler Waters Spa, and guests have access to the peaceful common areas of the spa, along with numerous other first-rate amenities.

The Inn on Woodlake, part of the Destination Kohler experience, is located on the shore of picturesque Wood Lake. The serene 121-room hotel boasts boutique-style guest rooms, state-of-the-art meeting space, and warm common areas ideal for leisure and business travelers.

The Old Course Hotel in St. Andrews, Scotland, a Kohler-owned property has also received raves from voters in the Condé Nast Traveler’s survey, who ranked it 10th among all European resorts – the first time the resort has reached the top 10. The Old Course Hotel, which was acquired by Kohler Co. in 2004, overlooks the fabled 17th hole of the legendary Old Course and offers impressive views of the centuries-old university town and the rugged Scottish coastline in the distance. The Old Course Hotel is considered one of the top destinations in the world of golf, and boasts its own exceptional Kohler Waters Spa, along with numerous restaurants, pubs and extensive conference space.

The Condé Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice Awards rank the best cities, islands, cruise lines, airlines, hotels, and resorts in the world according to reader polls. The results are announced in the November issue of Condé Nast Traveler.
