Explore La Crosse Adds Travel Exhibitors, Conversations, and Speakers to the La Crosse Regional Tourism Expo
La Crosse, WI (PRWEB) October 28, 2015 -- Explore La Crosse invites area businesses and community members to attend the first annual La Crosse Regional Tourism Expo and Hospitality Job Fair, a showcase for the businesses, organizations, and individuals who attract visitors to the La Crosse area and its surrounding Mississippi River Valley communities.
On December 3, 2015, from 10 A.M. to 6 P.M., area businesses and community members will gather at the La Crosse Center in La Crosse, WI, to celebrate the area's dynamic and vital travel and tourism industry, which employs thousands and accounts for millions in economic impact, making it one of the region's largest industries. The Expo serves as a reminder of the crucial role tourism plays in our local economy and intends to bring area leaders, communities, and individuals together for a conversation on regional tourism and collaboration.
Participating area businesses will be showcasing their attractions, activities, and services to fellow stakeholders in the industry as well as to the community at large. Many exhibitors will be raffling off prizes, including two tickets to a show at the Weber Center for Performing Arts, a one-night stay at Candlewood Suites, free wine tastings at Winneshiek Winery, and more. Additionally, Explore La Crosse will raffle off two tickets to La Crosse Area Day at Miller Park, two VIP tickets to the Between the Bluffs Beer, Wine, and Cheese Festival, two Premium Registrations at the La Crosse Area Bicycle Festival, and two tickets to ride La Crosse’s Historic Trolley.
Other events throughout the day include demos, food and refreshments from local restaurants, live entertainment, a new tourism ambassador program, and lightning talks with local tourism and leaders such as Patrick Goodness, CEO of The Goodness Company, Andrew Londre, founder of La Crosse SOUP!, and Bradley Roulston, Vice President of Sales for Timely.
More than 30 exhibitors have already registered, including Vernon Vineyards, Wyatt Bicycle Co., Rainbow Ridge Farms, and the Charmant, La Crosse’s newest boutique hotel. But there’s room for more: Explore La Crosse invites area travel and tourism-related businesses to participate and engage in this celebration, as well as to encourage employees, customers, and clientele to attend the Expo to converse, partner and learn more about what this region has to offer.
Businesses and individuals from the following counties are encouraged to exhibit: La Crosse (WI), Vernon (WI), Trempealeau (WI), Monroe (WI), Jackson (WI), Wabasha (MN), Winona (MN) , Houston (MN), Fillmore (MN), Winneshiek (IA), and Allamakee (IA).
The Expo is open to the public! Visitors and community members are encouraged to come and see all that the La Crosse tourism industry and area businesses have to offer. Admission is free, but exhibitor registration is required. Exhibitor space is available for $40.00 for job fair exhibitors and $55.00 for tourism & travel exhibitors and includes the opportunity to present or demo an experience, product, or service during the event.
