MOAA and ACP Partner to Provide Career Services and Mentoring to Transitioning Veterans
Alexandria, Va. (PRWEB) October 27, 2015 -- The Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) is proud to announce its partnership with American Corporate Partners (ACP), a nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting veterans in their transition from the uniformed services to the civilian workforce. Both associations have agreed to work together to strengthen their military career-transition services and mentoring services to support the military community.
ACP’s Mentoring Program connects transitioning veterans with corporate mentors for yearlong mentorships. Based on their career objectives and professional experience, mentors and veterans are paired together to work and define the goals of their mentorship. ACP is not a formal hiring program — instead, ACP is focused on preparing a veteran for a fulfilling new career in the private sector.
“American Corporate Partners has a track record of success accelerating the transition from military service to civilian career success, and MOAA is proud to be highlighting their services to our more than 390,000 members nationwide,” said retired Navy Capt. Jim Carman, MOAA’s Transition Center director.
"MOAA has a strong tradition of supporting our nation's military officers, and ACP is proud to announce this partnership,” said Sid Goodfriend, ACP’s chairman and founder. “Through this collaboration, MOAA offers their members another tool to achieve the same success and satisfaction in the private sector that they found in their military careers."
