Alicyn DelZoppo, a real estate agent with The Creig Northrop Team of Long & Foster Real Estate, has been named president of the Howard County Association of REALTORS®, which represents more than 1,500 real estate agents. Creig Northrop, president and CEO of the Northrop Team, swore DelZoppo in at a ceremony on Oct. 23, 2015.
DelZoppo represents home buyers and sellers as well as tenants and landlords for the Northrop Team.
She also serves on several committees for the Howard County Association of REALTORS®, one of which combines networking and philanthropic opportunities for real estate agents to benefit local organizations such as Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center and Gilchrist Hospice of Howard County. She also chairs the entertainment committee for the Relay for Life of Howard County, an event benefiting the American Cancer Society.
Among her honors, DelZoppo was named to The Daily Record’s 2014 VIP List and received the Shining Star Award from the Maryland Association of REALTORS® in 2014. She has also been recognized with the Community Service Award (Care Award) from the Howard County Association of REALTORs® in 2013. REALTOR® Magazine named her among “30 under 30,” and the Maryland chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation named her among Howard County’s “Finest 39 under 39” in 2012.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in sociology from Boston University and lives in Columbia, Maryland.
