Columbus Light & Water Chooses Survalent Technology for Integration Capabilities and Ease-of-Use
BRAMPTON, ON (PRWEB) October 27, 2015 -- Serving over 12,000 customers in the state of Mississippi, Columbus Light & Water (CL&W) was facing the challenge of replacing an existing SCADA system with one that is easy to configure, easy to use, and has many expandable capabilities. CL&W chose Survalent Technology for its seamless integration capabilities with other systems, advanced technical support and strong track record of high customer service satisfaction.
Survalent’s SCADA is an integral part of the Survalent ONE™ ADMS (Advanced Distribution Management System) – an advanced product line providing a complete solution on one platform. Survalent ONE™ ADMS provides CL&W with the benefits of less downtime, faster identification of issues and quick response to its customers.
“We chose Survalent due to their excellent reputation and the quality of their software,” states Rusty Jaudon, Chief Engineer for Columbus Light & Water. “I am very satisfied with Survalent’s professionalism when coming on-site to install the system. I am equally impressed with how hard they work to continue to support us after the installation. We expect to order more services in the future.”
CL&W deployed a new SCADA system with the most advanced graphical user interface, SmartVU. The system is based on a Windows Server and includes advanced functionalities such as, Control Panel for quick configuration and access to field devices, IED Wizard - a tool that automates the creation of the database points for supported IEDs, and Event Data Recording for recording all status changes, operator controls and Sequence of Events (SOE) data.
“We are pleased to have Columbus Light & Water join our community of happy customers,” states Steve Strauss, Regional Sales VP for the Eastern US. “CL&W needed a vendor who could not only tend to their requirements today, but also provide solutions to their future needs and we were able to meet those needs.”
