Mission Viejo, California (PRWEB) October 28, 2015 -- Lion’s Heart, a nationwide volunteer platform for 6th – 12th grade students, has named Amy von Kaenel head of Strategic Partnerships. In her role, von Kaenel will build relationships with local and national organizations so that Lion’s Heart can continue to provide more and more teens with meaningful life skills through leadership opportunities and philanthropic experiences.
“Lion’s Heart seeks partnerships with retailers, educators, education-technology vendors and not-for-profit groups,” said von Kaenel. “Potential partners have the ability to reach our nearly 3,000 active Members and their parents through many channels including recognition on the Lion’s Heart website, email marketing campaigns, social media platforms and specific sponsorship opportunities.”
Von Kaenel is particularly passionate about the EduTech space where she has a strong desire to extend awareness of, and access to, co-curricular programs for children and their families. She currently works with Thrively, an EduTech start-up and current partner of Lion’s Heart, where she leads partner development and channel strategy. During interactions with von Kaenel, educators often express the importance of teens taking advantage of extracurricular activities where they can build leadership skills, connect with their community and serve those in need.
“Our goal is to partner with like-minded organizations to increase membership and brand awareness,” said Terry Corwin, Founder and Executive Director at Lion’s Heart. “We are thrilled to put Amy’s talent and experience to good use as we expand into new regions of the country.”
Lion’s Heart has 47 chapters and nearly 3,000 active Members across the country. The Orange County, California-based organization arranges Members into groups so they can volunteer for various non-profit and philanthropic organizations. Each group of teen Members elect their own officers and runs their own meetings. With this structure, Members have the power to choose how they want to serve the community.
