StraighterLine Announces Courses Recommended by American Council on Education’s Alternative Credit Project (ACP)
Baltimore, MD (PRWEB) October 29, 2015 -- StraighterLine, the fastest-growing provider of academic credit and a founding member of the Alternative Credit Project, is pleased to announce it has had 44 courses recommended for college credit -- the most for any provider in the program. These courses are guaranteed to transfer to participating ACP colleges.
The ACP is an effort by the American Council on Education (ACE) and the Gates Foundation to assist the over 31 million U.S. adults who are eligible to start or return to college by providing affordable and flexible college solutions. Founded in 2010, StraighterLine is the ACP's most experienced provider of academic credit.
Says Burck Smith, StraighterLine’s founder and CEO, “Such breadth of approval is a testament to the quality of our courses. By remaining independent of any particular college and seeking out quality assurance reviews like ACP, we earn the trust of both students and colleges. Together, we can make college affordable again.”
The Project reviews courses from a select group of providers and creates guaranteed transfer pathways to nearly 40 colleges, including:
