Seyfarth’s “Less Paper” initiative is designed to reduce the firm’s cost and environmental impact. “We are reducing our real estate footprint by one-third, even while the firm is growing,” said Andrew D. Jurczyk, Chief Information Officer at Seyfarth. The effort includes all-digital document retention and a policy change to scan and store all documents electronically rather than sending them to an offsite storage facility. “We expect to see a substantial cost reduction from reduced real estate and offsite storage costs,” added Jurczyk.

The firm chose nQueue’s iA Scan Manager powered by iA Route because it delivers the same interface and workflow to the attorneys’ personal scanning stations, high speed scanners and scanning services in the mail room. Users can instantly OCR the document, select their desired file format and route it directly to the proper location on the firm’s document management system. “iA Scan Manager powered by iA Route fits right into our existing processes and workflows,” added Jurczyk.
