‘Powerful Leadership Lessons’ will be Offered by Retired General Becky Halstead
Dallas (PRWEB) November 02, 2015 -- The Network of Executive Women’s NEW North Texas region will celebrate its 10th anniversary with a fall luncheon featuring Brig. Gen. Becky Halstead, U.S. Army (retired). Halstead will share leadership lessons from her book, “The First Person You Must Lead is YOU.” The luncheon and networking event will be held Nov. 10 at the Addison Conference and Theater Centre.
Halstead was among the early classes of women to ever enter West Point, and was the military academy’s first female graduate to earn the rank of general officer. After 27 years of service in the Army, Halstead launched STEADFAST Leadership to help others develop high-performing teams capable of strategic planning and execution in demanding environments. “Halstead will share leadership principles that transcend age, gender, race, and profession, and inspire you to approach leadership from a new perspective—you,” organizers said.
The luncheon event will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Addison Conference and Theater Centre, 15650 Addison Road, in Addison. The event is open to the public and will include a special 10th anniversary ceremony. Registration is $50 for NEW members, $60 for non-members.
Space is limited and advance registration is required. Register now or visit the NEW North Texas region’s homepage at newonline.org.
