St. Louis, Mo. (PRWEB) November 16, 2015 -- St. Louis, UberPITCH Is Arriving Now
Ferguson 1000 teams up with Uber to Connect St. Louis Minority Entrepreneurs to Venture Capital Investors
Entrepreneurs, inventors, and self-starters – the big break is arriving now! Now that uberX is up and running in St. Louis, Uber is teaming up with local investors to deliver St. Louisans the opportunity to pitch their business ideas with venture capital investors on-demand. On Friday, November 20th, from 12pm to 2pm, St. Louis entrepreneurs can request UberPITCH and be connected with the opportunity to pitch their startup idea over a 15-minute meeting with a venture capital investor who can help make that passion a reality. All UberPITCH rides are free.
“Dozens of young entrepreneurs in Ferguson and the entire St. Louis region are getting their plans finalized and their pitches ready,” said Dr. Lance McCarthy, Co-Founder of Ferguson 1000. “UberPITCH is great way to bridge communities and make connections in a new and innovative way.” Ferguson 1000 research arm has shown there is a significant lack of equity capital for minority businesses nationwide, this initiative will help increase capital by showing great ROI to investors.
“St. Louis has a strong start-up scene and we are proud to be part of it,” said Sagar Shah, Uber St. Louis General Manager. “UberPITCH is a fun way to encourage and facilitate local entrepreneurship to keep driving the next generation of business leaders in St. Louis.”
