Wanderlust springs from lost love in new adventure romance
Lansing, MI (PRWEB) November 02, 2015 -- The invention of the smartphone became known as the ultimate work leash by keeping everyone readily available 24/7. With this constant work mode it is easy to lose sight of your passions and become robotic. In his new novel, “The Silver Stiletto,” author Roger S Nelson encourages readers to take a break from the daily grind and fully embrace life.
Jim, the protagonist in “The Silver Stiletto,” is burnt out from his job and even worse, has just been left by his fiancé. Desperate to flee his problems Jim decides to remedy his hurt by taking a two-week bicycle and camping trip. As Jim prepares for his trip he is looking forward to traveling alone and taking his life back. Similar to real life, Jim’s travels do not turn out as he planned when he encounters a young woman who is also on a bicycle trip.
Author Roger S Nelson was inspired to write this book after taking a bicycle trip on a route virtually identical to the one described in “The Silver Stiletto.” Although Jim is a fictional character, the events, problems, and experiences Jim goes through mirror actual happenings that Nelson went through on his own bicycle trip.
“Have an adventure,” advised Nelson. “In 1996 I was burned out from biking and needed to do something different to keep my interest. I went on a two-week bike trip, combining my love for camping and biking.”
Heartbreak and burnout are emotions everyone faces at some point. As readers witness the benefits travel and adventure have on Jim’s life, they will feel encouraged to take back their own lives. Maybe even replicate the bicycle expedition in the story.
