BeyondCurious Wins National Supplier of the Year Award
Los Angeles, California (PRWEB) November 02, 2015 -- BeyondCurious (http://www.beyondcurious.com), an innovation agency that crafts strategies and builds digital products for leading brands, today announced that the agency has been named Supplier of the Year by the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC).
The award recognizes certified minority suppliers for their outstanding partnerships with NMSDC corporate members, as well as their contributions to the community. Toyota nominated BeyondCurious for being a strategic partner and creating impact through groundbreaking digital products and experiences. BeyondCurious was also recognized for its contributions to the diverse business community.
Founder and CEO Nikki Barua built her minority- and woman-led business to help large businesses innovate at speed. For Barua, diversity extends from the people she hires to the way they approach problems. She said, "BeyondCurious is honored to receive this award and proud to be a minority business. We believe that diversity is the lifeblood of innovation. Diversity is about embracing otherness and allowing differences in perspectives so that the most powerful ideas may prevail. Diversity isn't a feel-good thing or a box to check. It’s a business imperative for success in today’s world."
Jim Mooney, Corporate Manager, Dealer Product and Sales Engagement at Toyota said, "Congratulations to Nikki Barua and BeyondCurious on this prestigious and well-deserved recognition."
He said, "We have partnered with BeyondCurious throughout our four-year journey in designing and developing 'best of breed' digital mobile solutions for our dealers. In addition to helping us build a sustainable digital vision, BeyondCurious ensures each project engagement has the highest possible ROI and is delivered on time and within budget. Our resulting partnership is built on trust and the very highest level of respect. Nikki is one of my 'go to' CEOs for new ideas and thought leadership."
Monetta Stephens, Supplier Diversity Manager at Toyota, said, “I cannot think of a more deserving business partner and minority business enterprise that exemplifies the entrepreneurial model of success. Through equal parts vision, value and determination, Founder and CEO Nikki Barua and BeyondCurious have emerged as one of Toyota’s leading resources for innovation that promote a successful customer experience. We are honored to be aligned with such an influential player in the digital field and look forward to many more years of partnership.”
To win a Supplier of the Year award, a certified minority supplier must meet a number of rigorous requirements, such as consistent growth of its customer base, quality of its services, and contributions to the local community.
The agency won the award after being named Supplier of the Year by the Southern California Minority Supplier Development Council on July 16. BeyondCurious then went on to compete nationally against 15 other regional winners. Winners were announced on October 21 in San Diego at the NMSDC Annual Conference. More information about the award is available from the NMSDC's official announcement.
