Tudore Tranquility is a new restaurant in Tokyo, Japan that recently opened their doors on October 1st, 2015. The restaurant provides a plant-based fine dining menu that is full of flavorful and creative dishes that exceed expectations. It is an elegant space that is perfect for a date, business dinners, wedding dinner or a small intimate event. The décor looks stunning with gold and beige tones.

Tudore Tranquility is proud to announce a menu that is very carefully designed, prepared and elegantly presented; with very high hygiene standards each ingredient is carefully handled and prepared whilst the design is created to ensure high nutritional value. They serve amazing combinations of organic fruit, grains, pulses, veggies, superfoods, cheeses, and nuts. “We don’t just serve a lot of carbs,” said manager, Marcel Onodera, “our food is high in nutritional value and very elegantly plated.”

The chef, Mamta Reid, was born in Southern Africa to a family of physicians and thus a healthy lifestyle was always a part of her daily routine. She went on to study the sciences both in Southern Africa and Australia, however, her passion for cooking blossomed when she was 9-years-old. “Seeing the end product was like watching a magic show,” said Reid, “I couldn’t wait to start creating my own magic.” Throughout her teens and later years cooking and recipe creation remained her true passion. She enjoys visualizing new flavors in her mind, and considers her recipes a melting pot as she uses ingredients from around the world. Mamta doesn't follow recipes, she creates recipes.

The restaurant also boasts a dessert menu that includes exceptional ice creams that are low calorie and are made with real fruit and veggies. Popular and uncommon flavors include celery, persimmon and oats & lemongrass ice-cream that have natural sweeteners such as Yacon syrup in place of white sugar. Another favorite is their Chia Seed pudding.

After opening night, the restaurant received rave reviews from their VIP guests. Stating that they had, “Amazingly creative dishes, lovingly prepared, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. Many congratulations on the opening of Tudore Tranquility, Mamta. The Uehara area has just gained a new star.” The restaurant was also praised for being ahead of the trend of vegetarianism in Tokyo. “This is the only place in Tokyo that has all the ingredients to become a sensation for the bio-crazed herbivoers,” said one of the guests in attendance.
