Aplos Software CEO Recognized in CPA Practice Advisor’s Top 40 Under 40
Fresno, CA (PRWEB) November 04, 2015 -- CPA Practice Advisor nominated Aplos Software’s CEO, Tim Goetz, for its “40 under 40” award in its September 2015 issue. The award recognized his vision and initiative to create an online accounting software for small nonprofits and churches, an under-served sector. This annual award recognizes the most influential young members of the accounting profession and encourages the future leaders of the profession as they forge their paths to their own unique definitions of success.
“I’m honored to be among this elite group of CPA’s awarded for going above and beyond.” said Tim Goetz, CPA, CEO of Aplos. “The Aplos team is incredible and it is so satisfying to see your passion and vision lived out and impacting thousands of organizations around the world.
Goetz began his career as a licensed CPA for a public accounting firm. An entrepreneur at heart and committed church leader, he ended up helping start two nonprofits and was the executive pastor for a growing church in Fresno, California. Experiencing firsthand the unique needs and challenges of nonprofits and churches, Tim immediately saw a need for an accounting solution that tailored to nonprofits and churches that was both simple to use and affordable. After searching extensively for simple fund accounting software for his own nonprofits, Tim Goetz realized what he needed did not exist. Not satisfied with this answer, he founded Aplos Software in 2009 to provide simple solutions that meet the accounting software needs of the nonprofit community.
“Tim is a visionary and a pleasure to work with,” said Aplos COO, Eric Nasalroad. “His unmatched work ethic, problem-solving ability, and sheer tenacity make him the type of leader that can accomplish anything he sets out to achieve.”
Since then, Aplos has expanded and enhanced its software to serve a wider range of nonprofit needs. Today Tim oversees all project development and business management for Aplos Software, continuing to innovate and advocate for nonprofits and churches. In addition, he volunteers his skills to help advise young nonprofits on how to operate on a firm financial footing.
