Elfiq Networks Launches New Firmware Version 3.8.1 for Increased Flexibility, Introduces New Licensing Model and Virtual Offering
Montreal, Canada (PRWEB) November 02, 2015 -- Elfiq Networks, a leader in link balancing and bandwidth optimization solutions, unveiled a new licensing model this month. The move will allow clients to subscribe to License Packs, increasing their devices’ capabilities for added flexibility and scalability in the context of SMB and multisite organizations. The announcement was made as the company launched its new firmware (version 3.8.1), which brings significant changes to Elfiq Networks’ business model.
The new License Packs allow small and medium businesses to take advantage of the company’s Flex Multipath Routing technology for multisite deployments. Multinational organizations can also deploy multiple devices in branch offices around the world to build a resilient web of Link Balancers to guarantee uninterrupted connectivity. This license structure, currently available for the LBX400, will be applied to the other models of the LBX series in the first two quarters of 2016.
“I love to build products that evolve with our clients,” said Etienne Martel, Technical Product Manager at Elfiq Networks. “Organizations are changing faster than ever, and no one device can meet everyone’s needs without a certain level of customization. That is what our new licensing model is all about: to give our clients the power to keep the same reliable equipment or virtual product, and to add capacity when the need arises.”
With the same firmware release, the company restructures its virtual offering, regrouping products available for Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure under a unique Elfiq Networks brand: Cloud Connector. Elfiq Networks will continue offering its Virtual Link Balancers in VMware edition, and plans to expand the range of platforms on which it is available. The newly rebranded Elfiq Networks Cloud Connector is designed to complement the award winning Link Balancer in providing uninterrupted, faster access to cloud applications.
“The Elfiq Networks Cloud Connector gives organizations a way to move to a robust cloud-ready infrastructure while taking advantage of the flexibility of a Hybrid WAN,” said Patrice Boies, Vice President of Business Development at Elfiq Networks. “Consolidating our cloud solutions under one brand was a logical move to make. Additionally, our Advanced and Enterprise License Packs provide more options to clients who wish to establish a business continuity plan without breaking the bank.”
In the last months, Elfiq Networks has launched its new LBX400, designed for branch locations and small to medium businesses. With its new licensing model for the LBX series and Cloud Connector, Elfiq Networks strengthens its Hybrid WAN position, providing organizations of all sizes and verticals with comprehensive solutions tailored to their needs.
