SiteJabber Protects Shoppers from Online Fraud With New Browser Add-on
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (PRWEB) November 03, 2015 -- SiteJabber today launched the first-ever browser add-on dedicated to helping online shoppers avoid scams and find trustworthy online businesses.
The tool, available free on all major browsers, enables users to tap into the SiteJabber community of more than 700,000 reviewers and 55,000 businesses reviewed to learn more about online businesses before they make a purchase.
Using the browser add-on, consumers can now see instantly if an online business has positive, mixed or negative reviews via a green, yellow or red indicator button. By clicking on the indicator button, users can access business contact information and detailed reviews of customer service, quality, pricing, shipping and returns. Consumers can also ask questions about the business to past customers and the business itself.
“The SiteJabber browser add-on represents a new paradigm in how consumers get information about and interact with online businesses,” says SiteJabber CEO Jeremy Gin. “By improving transparency and reducing fraud, the SiteJabber add-on empowers consumers to move beyond Amazon and Walmart so they can feel safe supporting the thousands of small, honest online businesses that have so much to offer.”
SiteJabber reviews are uniquely unbiased because SiteJabber is the only online review platform that does not charge businesses to manage their reputations. Review platforms have traditionally been unfair to both businesses and consumers: businesses are forced to pay them up to tens of thousands of dollars per year, while consumers cannot tell whether a business is trustworthy or simply has paid a lot of money to manage its reputation.
Funded by a grant from the U.S. Government’s National Science Foundation and private investors 500Startups and the Seraph Group, SiteJabber has helped more than 40 million consumers make informed purchasing decisions.
