Studio DMI Closes First Year Of Its Music Education Program With New Hybrid Workshop
Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) October 31, 2015 -- Studio DMI has long since been a staple in the electronic music production world because of its ability to take great songs and make them even better. In 2015 alone, Studio DMI has recorded, mixed and mastered songs totaling over one billion streams. Since its release 3 months ago, Baby K’s summer anthem “Roma-Bangkok” has shattered the record for the most played song ever from Italy on Spotify. “Lean On” by Major Lazer and DJ Snake also enjoyed massive international success after SDMI’s engineer Luca Pretolesi recorded MØ’s vocals for the song. In 7 months, the song has gained almost three quarters of a billion views on YouTube and has gone platinum several times all over the world.

The vast yet refined studio talents of Studio DMI were the seeds for another surprising accomplishment this year. Beginning in the second half of 2014, the company started organizing a music educational program that highlights the same tools and techniques used by its own engineers. By February of this year, the curriculum was fully developed, and so began the series of monthly 3-day workshops.
Reflecting back on a busy year, SDMI’s Education Coordinator Nik Hotchkiss had this to say, “We knew we were doing something special as soon as we finished our first workshop and read the student feedback. The support we have been getting from the pro-audio community, our sponsors, and especially our students, has been incredible!”
The music education programs were previously held either on-line using live stream technology and interactive network meeting programs, or in person. As the year comes to an end, Studio DMI is testing a new format that allows both in person instruction and online access to its workshops at the same time. An additional convenience is the 7-day window attendees are provided to review all instruction online. The attendees are also able to submit their questions and join a live Q&A shortly after the 7-day period ends.
"We believe that our educational workshops can help fast track your music to the next level. This stems from years of experience, from constant learning, and trial and error. We also use these techniques in our studio day to day mixing and mastering some of the biggest tracks in the dance world. So not only do we teach what we know, but we put it to the test with high-end clients spanning multiple genres,” says Jacob Mork, Studio/Marketing Coordinator for Studio DMI.
