#ShareJesus is intrinsically different and bigger than other social media efforts in the Catholic Church because the 'social component' isn't an afterthought. It's what the whole program is all about.
Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) November 03, 2015
Redeemed Online announced today it's #ShareJesus social media campaign is launching for a four month time period. Last year’s campaign reached over 1.5 million video views in just over a month and half. This year the anticipated reach is over 1 million views a month and over 6 million total video views.
The concept of #ShareJesus is a daily 2-3 minute video about who Jesus is that's published on Facebook and YouTube. The videos are created with both viewing and sharing in mind. Speakers consists of over 60 top Catholic speakers from around the United States, including over 10 religious sisters for what they are billing as #NunWeek. Building on last year’s successful grassroots campaign, Redeemed Online attained over 125% of their $18,000 Kickstarter goal with the backing of over 500 donors for this year's campaign.
"#ShareJesus is intrinsically different and bigger than other social media efforts in the Catholic Church because the 'social component' isn't an afterthought," said Andy Lesnefsky, founder of Redeemed Online. "It's what the whole program is all about." The idea for the campaign is centered around the concept that the Catholic Church both must and can do better in reaching people with it's principle message: the person of Jesus Christ.
Daily videos begin the first Sunday of Advent, November 29, and run through Easter Sunday, March 27. Here's the link for the YouTube promotional trailer https://youtu.be/nSuvujgT2nc. Currently there are over 20,000 people who subscribe to the email list for the campaign and Redeemed Online anticipates this campaign to grow that to around 50,000 subscribers.
