Web-based system allows users to easily submit, refine, analyze and communicate critical incident information

The American Hospital Association (AHA) today announced it has extended its exclusive endorsement of RL Solutions’ Incident Reporting & Management solution. Designed specifically for health care, the RL6:Risk Web-based safety incident and adverse event management system from RL Solutions allows users to easily submit, refine, analyze and communicate critical incident information. AHA Solutions, Inc., a subsidiary of the AHA, awards the AHA Endorsement to products and services that help member hospitals and health care organizations achieve operational excellence.

Capturing and managing incidents effectively enables hospital administrators to evaluate trends, assess high risk areas and develop action plans to mitigate future risk. RL6:Risk provides risk and quality managers the ability to manage incidents from occurrence to resolution. With the system’s powerful monitoring, alerting and drill-down reporting capabilities, organizations can streamline and eliminate most of the administrative tasks associated with adverse events, resulting in more time for patient care and quality initiatives. In addition, RL6:Risk’s high level of flexibility allows it to adjust to an organization’s workflows and changing needs.

“It is critical that hospitals implement best-in-class technologies to streamline incident management and reporting,” said Anthony Burke, president and CEO, AHA Solutions, Inc. “The RL Solutions system makes it easy for front-line staff to report an event, while its powerful reporting capabilities enable risk managers to collect actionable data they can use to enhance processes and increase accountability in support of their organization’s patient safety and quality improvement efforts."

“The entire RL Solutions team is honored the AHA has chosen to extend its endorsement of our RL6:Risk incident reporting and management system,” said Sanjay Malaviya, president and CEO, RL Solutions. “We look forward to continuing to work with the AHA in promoting safer health care.”
