G2 Crowd, the world’s leading business software review platform, today released the Fall 2015 Social Media Management Software GridSM report to help businesses make the best technology decision. Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Social Studio and TweetDeck were named Leaders in the report, receiving strong customer satisfaction scores with a large market presence. Additionally, AgoraPulse, Sendible, Cision’s Social Media Edition and Buffer were named High Performers, earning strong customer satisfaction marks with smaller market presence scores. Sprout Social and AgoraPulse earned the highest overall satisfaction scores while Social Studio earned the highest overall Market Presence score.
The GridSM leverages customer satisfaction data reported by authenticated users along with vendor market presence determined from social and public data. Based on a combination of these scores, each software solution is categorized as a Leader, High Performer, Contender, or Niche.
Across the board, users were generally satisfied with their social media management products. The Social Media Management software category garnered high ratings overall, with all satisfaction categories averaging above the 85th percentile. Of note, social sharing received an average rating of 88 percent across all products in the report – the highest of all feature ratings.
Additional key findings revealed that basic functionality has been optimized, including social sharing, social campaigns and social engagement, with users rating these features highly across the board. Despite this, social media management research showed that users are highly unsatisfied with social advertising features, with an overall satisfaction rating of 67 percent. Social media management research also revealed the lack of comprehensive social network integration with notable platforms including Google+, Instagram and Pinterest, as a common complaint among users.
Since the Spring 2015 GridSM report, social media management analysis revealed Sendible remained a high performer, as it increased its satisfaction score by 16 points and its market presence increased by 15 points. Additionally, Cision’s Social Media Edition remained a high performer, but its satisfaction score decreased by 7 points while its market presence score increased by 15 points.
