Portland, Oregon (PRWEB) November 04, 2015
When outdoor adventurer Eddie Bauer created the first quilted goose down jacket in 1940, the ability to offer over a million different configurations was probably the furthest thing from his mind.
Fast forward to November, 2015: With the help of Portland-based brand marketing agency Pollinate, Eddie Bauer has introduced EB Custom, an online interactive tool that allows full customization of their iconic down outerwear. The experience is driven by the Made To Order Customizer™ (MTOC) platform developed by Pollinate’s in-house technical and design teams.
Buyers can choose from a palette of colors, patterns and embroidery options and apply them to 11 different parts of Eddie Bauer’s MicroTherm® StormDown Jacket – from sleeves and body panels to the interior lining and even zippers. EB Custom is available through the Eddie Bauer website (http://www.eddiebauer.com/custom) and at kiosks in select U.S. retail stores.
“Offering a customized product provides an immersive brand experience unlike any other point in the customer journey,” said Levi Patterson, Pollinate Director of Client Services. “It’s a great way to turn consumers into brand fanatics.” He added, “We’re thrilled to have partnered with Eddie Bauer to create this category-changing product.”
Eddie Bauer joins a slate of other Pollinate clients using MTOC, including Wilson Sporting Goods and Benchmade Knives. Pollinate recently completed a site for Wilson that allows football fans to add custom messaging, a photo or team graphics to an official NFL game ball (http://www.wilson.com/custom).
Founded in 2008, Pollinate (http://www.pollinate.com) is an integrated, full-service brand marketing agency that was recently named Northwest Small Agency of the Year by Advertising Age magazine. Clients include Eddie Bauer, Wilson Sporting Goods, Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy Group (LVMH), Oregon Lottery, New Seasons Markets, First Republic Bank and Sur La Table.
