First Candle will be hosting its most prestigious event, the annual charity gala dinner and award show, on Thursday, November 5, 2015 in New York City. Corporate sponsors, medical researchers, community leaders, and parents will gather at Lotte New York Palace to recognize the outstanding achievements made by companies and individuals in the areas of healthy pregnancies, infant safety, education, and research. The evening’s program will include a brief presentation of the leadership awards and the Marian Sokol Award, live entertainment, a silent auction and a formal dinner. Proceeds from the gala will benefit First Candle’s mission of educating families with the latest research for safe pregnancies and healthy babies.
This year’s Marian Sokol Award for the Advancement of Stillbirth Awareness and Prevention will be presented to Dr. Gloria Horsley and Dr. Heidi Horsley, internationally recognized grief experts.
The event will be co-hosted by national family safety expert and TV personality Alison Jacobson, “The Safety Mom” who lost her son to SIDS in 1997.
Individual tickets start at $250, and tables can be purchased for $10,000.
