21st Annual Christmas on Caddo Fireworks Festival to be held in Oil City, Saturday, Dec. 5

The Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau and other sponsors are proud to present this Annual Christmas festival in Earl G. Williamson Park, which will feature photos with Santa, food, live music, carnival rides, fireworks and more.

Christmas on Caddo Fireworks Festival will be held Saturday, Dec. 5 in Oil City, LA.

“I’m proud that this festival has grown to be one of the largest Christmas celebrations in Shreveport that is well attended by families from all over the Ark-La-Tex,” said Mary Dunn, president of Christmas on Caddo Fireworks Festival.

The Christmas on Caddo Fireworks Festival will celebrate 21 years of holiday fun on Saturday, Dec. 5 at Earl G. Williamson Park in Oil City, Louisiana. Activities kick off at 3:30 p.m. with arts and crafts, food vendors, live music, carnival rides and more. The fireworks show by Durr’s Pyromania Fireworks of Bossier will begin at 6:30 p.m. This year’s firework show is dedicated in memory of Pat Allen, a longtime supporter of the Christmas on Caddo Fireworks Festival. Admission is free. A special carnival preview night will be held Friday, Dec. 4 where guests can be the first to enjoy carnival rides and games. Gates open at 5 p.m. Admission is $20.

“I’m proud that this festival has grown to be one of the largest Christmas celebrations in Shreveport that is well attended by families from all over the Ark-La-Tex,” said Mary Dunn, president of Christmas on Caddo Fireworks Festival. “I’m looking forward to our new carnival that will feature rides and games for children of all ages.”

Festival-goers will have the chance to admire artwork from local artists, shop at arts and craft booths and dine on a variety of fair-style food, including gumbo, funnel cake, red beans and rice and Louisiana-style chili. The featured entertainment will be a performance by the country music group Dusty Rose Band.

Children’s activities will include clowns, games, jump houses, carnival rides and a visit with Santa, during which each child will receive an early Christmas gift from Santa sponsored by the North Caddo Medical Center. Photos with Santa are $5.
