“The Raising of America,” Sponsored in Part by the David & Laura Merage Foundation, Signature Hour to Air on Thursday, November 5 at 9 p.m. on Rocky Mountain PBS
Denver, CO (PRWEB) November 05, 2015 -- The Raising of America is a five-part documentary series that explores the questions: Why are so many children in America faring so poorly? What are the consequences for the nation’s future? How might we, as a nation, do better? The series investigates these questions through different lenses: What does science tell us about the enduring importance of early life experiences on the brain and body? What it is like to be a parent today? And, what policies and structures help or hinder the raising of healthy, happy, and compassionate children? The Signature Hour covers all three of these issues.
In addition to the Nov. 5 episode, Rocky Mountain PBS will broadcast the full series in January 2016. It will air on the following dates:
• January 7, 9 pm (encore): The Raising of America signature hour
• January 14, 9 pm: Wounded Places – supplemented by I-News interview material
• January 21, 9 pm: DNA is not Destiny - supplemented by I-News interview material
• January 28, 9 pm: Are We Crazy About Our Kids? and Once Upon a Time (Half-hour segments presented back to back.)
