Optoma ZU650 projector
The ZU650 is the perfect solution for most installations including Museums, Digital Signage, Simulators, Control and Command Centers; any application requiring 24/7 operation that demands no down time.

Optoma announced today its latest addition to the ProScene Family of Installation projectors. The ZU650 is Optoma’s first projector to use laser phosphor illumination technology which virtually eliminates the need for lamp and filter replacements.
This 6000 lumen bright, WUXGA projector provides 20,000 hours of low-cost operation, 5 interchangeable lenses, horizontal and vertical lens shift, portrait mode and 360° projection. HDBaseT comes standard, giving integrators a simple and affordable solution when connecting and controlling the projector. HDBaseT connects all the various types of AV and control devices through a single CAT6 cable via a transmitter to the projector. Connectivity has never been easier.
“The ZU650 is the perfect solution for most installations including Museums, Digital Signage, Simulators, Control and Command Centers; any application requiring 24/7 operation that demands no down time,” said Jon Grodem, Senior Director of Product Management. “By eliminating the need for lamp or filter replacements, the ZU650 provides a lower cost of ownership and will future proof any installation.”
The wired remote functionality allows all aspects of the projectors to be individually controlled without requiring line-of-sight to the projector; which is invaluable when using multiple units during live events.
Full support is provided for Crestron, Extron, AMX, PJ-Link and Telnet LAN protocols, which allow almost all functions to be controlled remotely across a network. Once installed, the projectors can be monitored and controlled over LAN. It can also provide email message alerts if an error occurs, a lamp fails or needs to be replaced, using Crestron Roomview™ software.
Full 3D support (via HDMI 1.4a) for various devices completes an already impressive array of features. These projectors come with built-in speakers that deliver powerful 20W audio, and an audio output is also included, enabling connection to external sound systems.
The ZU650 will start shipping during November and will be available through Optoma’s authorized ProScene dealer and reseller channels. Estimated street pricing is $12,999.
