The holiday season is also a time of giving and the donations we receive through our year end fundraising play a large role in allowing us to keep our doors open and to continue to help the spinal cord injury and paralysis community.

Dec. 1, 2015 is Giving Tuesday, a day dedicated to giving back to non-profits and charities following the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday. With the success of last years “Push-Ups for Push to Walk” Campaign, the organization will continue to post videos and photos on social media with the hashtag #PushUpsForPushtoWalk of staff, clients and supporters participating in push-ups as a means of raising awareness to donate to Push to Walk. Promotion of the campaign will begin immediately, and continue through Giving Tuesday leading into the End of Year Campaign for continued giving.

Last year, Push to Walk was able to raise nearly $1,000 through this campaign and hopes to top that amount this year. Push to Walk encourages supporters to send or tag us in their videos/photos of them participating in #PushUpsForPushtoWalk on social media. Push to Walk not able to cover all operating expenses through client fees, and relies largely on special events and generous donations to raise funds. Participation in this campaign is a great opportunity to engage our clients, friends and followers in a meaningful effort to attract donations on this special day of giving.

“With the success of last year’s efforts, we are excited to kick-off this year’s campaign as a segway into our End of Year Appeal.” said Cynthia Templeton, President of Push to Walk. “The holiday season is also a time of giving and the donations we receive through our year end fundraising play a large role in allowing us to keep our doors open and to continue to help the spinal cord injury and paralysis community.”
