Influence Health Delivers Quality Enhancements to CONNECT Clinical Portal Used Across North America
Birmingham, AL (PRWEB) November 05, 2015 -- Influence Health announces the release of the newest version of the CONNECT clinical portal, version 4.1. The enhancements delivered in this release follow Influence Health’s dedication to delivering a product that is efficient, effective and user-friendly.
CONNECT is the platform being used to connect patient records across South West Ontario. When fully implemented, CONNECT, branded as ClinicalConnect™ in South West Ontario, will provide approximately 1,700 organizations’ physicians and clinical care team members access to 3.6 million patient records making patient health information accessible regardless of where they are seeking treatment in the region. eHealth Ontario funds the connecting South West Ontario (cSWO) Program to support this initiative.
As part of this release, a new “Frequent Visitor” icon was added to quickly alert physicians of patients who are at high risk for readmission. Care providers can then ensure the patient’s discharge incorporates the appropriate care plans to reduce their chance for readmission. In addition, this release integrated evidence-based, contextually-relevant clinical information from DynaMed®. This new functionality offers clinicians the flexibility to launch DynaMed with the click of a button making both clinician reference and patient feedback more efficient.
Hamilton Health Sciences, the Solution Provider responsible for deploying ClinicalConnect across the four southwest Ontario Local Health Integration Networks, has been tracking CONNECT usage from its early days and is proud to announce that they have reached a milestone of more than 265,000 logins in just one quarter.
“With 265,000 user logins and growing, clinicians are enhancing patient care and safety every time they use ClinicalConnect,” states Mark Farrow, Vice President, Health Information Technology Services (HITS) and Chief Information Officer at Hamilton Health Sciences. “This latest release of CONNECT by Influence Health gives our clinicians advanced functionality for easier and faster access to their patients’ data. This is a win for both our care teams and our patients.”
