2nd Annual IP Dealmakers Forum, Dec 7-8 in NYC, to Bridge Investment and Intellectual Property Communities
New York, NY (PRWEB) November 05, 2015 -- The 2nd Annual IP Dealmakers Forum unveiled new speakers with the addition of keynote Edward Jung to an already packed agenda this winter in New York City.
Last year’s inaugural event was the first to successfully connect complex intellectual property monetization experts with public and private market investors. Attended by approximately 200 investors, IP executives, and trusted advisors, the sold-out, standing room only event was widely regarded by industry professionals as one of the most impactful events of the year.
The IP Dealmakers Forum, scheduled for December 7-8 at The Apella in New York City, is once again expected to attract an elite set of participants and top dealmakers from the finance, legal and business communities.
“These are challenging times for those investing in IP. The changing legal and regulatory landscapes – both in the U.S. and in Europe -- add a level of uncertainty to the already difficult task of identifying high-quality patent assets. As the market shifts, understanding the increased importance of due diligence expertise, the changing perceptions of risk and valuation, and the sources and expectations of those with investment capital, is a prerequisite for anyone who intends to succeed in this arena” said Ashley Keller, co-founder of Gerchen Keller Capital. “The agenda for this conference has neatly captured these critical topics and selected speakers who are ideally qualified to speak to the current state of the market.”
Innovation and technology pioneer Edward Jung will deliver the luncheon keynote presentation. After leaving Microsoft where he was Chief Architect, Jung founded Intellectual Ventures, where he serves as CTO setting strategic technology direction and new business models for the company. An avid inventor, Jung holds more than 750 patents worldwide with an additional 1,000 pending in the areas of biomedicine, computing, networking, energy, and material sciences.
Additional speakers include debt and equity investors, licensing companies, corporations, and respected advisors from Ericsson, Visium, Intellectual Discovery, Marathon, France Brevets, Techquity, EverEdge IP, Finjan, Royal Philips, Gerchen Keller Capital, Fortress, IP Bridge, Northwater Capital, Wood Creek Capital, Allied Minds, WiLAN, American Express, nXn Partners, Bridgestone Americas, Swiss Alpha, Freescale Semiconductor and more.
"The IP Dealmakers Forum is unique in that it is focused on investing in Intellectual Property, bringing together IP experts and investors from a variety of sectors. For this reason, the IP Dealmakers Forum is the 'must attend' event for investors and their advisors, IP experts and anyone interested in the current trends and new investment opportunities in the IP market," stated Laurens Rensch, Managing Director, Private Markets at Swiss Alpha.
