VARLA'S GIFT

Readers should embrace who they are and remember that God loves them.

Within the pages of Jeff R. Smith’s new book, Varla's Gift, ($19.99, paperback, 9781498453400; $29.99, hardcover, 9781498453417) young readers will discover the delightful story of Varla – a happy and self-confident bird – even though she sometimes wonders about the traits that make her different from everyone else. “Readers should embrace who they are and remember that God loves them,” states the author. “If they can hold on to this truth, then no one can make them feel unloved or unworthy.”

Jeff R. Smith lives in a suburb just north of Austin, TX with his wife and twin-boys. He is an alumnus of the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) and the University of Southern California (USC).
