Evolution Labs announced today that Grand Valley State University has launched its SA360 platform to help improve student-athlete success. SA360 immerses student-athletes in highly engaging, relevant information as well as tools and resources designed to help them succeed academically, athletically and personally, while providing athletic departments, advisors and coaches with a platform that can help them be more responsive and supportive.

SA360, known at GVSU as GV360, covers a range of topics critical to student-athletes’ success, such as health and wellness, study skills, risk behavior, NCAA compliance and career exploration. It utilizes pulse surveys, social media, self-tests and heuristics, digital video and other app- and web-based features that keep students returning for fresh content. In addition, SA360 enables underclassmen to “shadow” peer mentors who can share tips and strategies through the platform.

“As a Division II NCAA school that values both academics and athletics, Grand Valley State University is committed to giving student-athletes the tools and resources they need to navigate the challenges they face on the field, in the classroom and beyond,” said Keri Becker, Associate Athletic Director. “To do this, the university felt it needed more than another orientation course or guest speaker series. We needed a way to establish and maintain an ongoing conversation with students. SA360 enables us to provide them with a personal toolkit to help them survive and thrive throughout their college experience.”

“As a top-tier institution that also fields twenty NCAA Division II teams, Grand Valley State University understands the importance of supporting student athletes when they are off the field as well as when they are on it,” said Peter Kraft, Co-founder at Evolution Labs. “We believe SA360 offers the perfect fit for an institution which recognizes that today’s student-athletes are bombarded by a diverse set of media, which is why the format, timing and relevant content built into the SA360 platform is critical to its success.”
