She married James Carey in 1959 and for the next 38 years, lived on a dairy farm just two miles away from the farm where she was born. She currently lives in Sun City, Arizona. She is the mother of three children, a grandmother of eight and a great grandmother of five. She firmly believes that faith and family are an unbeatable combination.
