His featured paper in the 13th APBS International Conference entitled, "What Is It About Me That You Can't Teach?" aims to aggressively examine the impact of race and culture as a preventive strategy in addressing the learning and behavioral needs of students of color in urban educational settings.

As the driving force behind EDEquity Inc., an educational consulting firm based in San Jose, CA, Edwin Lou Javius has been successful in helping educators here and abroad to close the racial achievement gap and encourage culturally-conscious leadership through equity-based leadership and classroom instructional support.
