FindBiometrics Doubles Interest in Biometric FinTech at Money20/20

Last year at Money20/20, Peter O’Neill hosted the conference’s first ever biometrics-focused panel, speaking to a full room of 300 attendees. This year, in order to meet the high demand, the biometrics session was held in a room built to hold an audience of 950 and the venue was nearly at full capacity. During his introduction of the panel, O’Neill asked how many audience members had biometric authentication on their phones; nearly every hand in the room went up.
“There is strong interest in biometrics, the FinTech world and in payments generally,” said O’Neill. “But to see this kind of response just illustrates clearly how fast things are changing. Attendees want to know and learn from companies like MasterCard and USAA who are successfully deploying biometrics. As we talked about on the panel, USAA recently announced that over one million users of its mobile banking app are enrolled for biometric sign in. These companies are actually deploying the technology and seeing massive success.”
