Jennifer Elster Presents the Official Launch of ChannelELSTER.COM: A Place for Out of the Ordinary Cinema and Sound
New York, NY (PRWEB) November 10, 2015 -- Filmmaker Jennifer Elster is proud to present the official launch of ChannelELSTER.com: A Place for Out of the Ordinary Cinema and Sound. Every Wednesday viewers can expect to find a premiere piece of new content, often video, at ChannelELSTER.com from either The Development Underground series (the behind-the-scenes footage of the process, performance art pieces, and interactions with visitors and commentaries) or The Being Experience (clips of the upcoming …IN THE WOODS series in the form of The Prologue No. 1-6, which is available to watch now, and will continue to unfurl until the full series is released.)
Ten years ago, Elster began taking people into the woods without giving them any instructions. Unaware of plot and path, the subjects found themselves in a familiar, yet strange and vulnerable setting. During the editing process, Elster got lost in the woods herself and faced many aspects of her life while studying human behavior. From this work Elster has comprised an upcoming, original, film series that includes …IN THE WOODS which features such cast as Terrence Howard, Alan Cumming, Liya Kebede, Rufus Wainwright, Aimee Mullins, Moby, Temple Grandin, Questlove, and others with vocalizations by Yoko Ono. Elster creatively found her way through, through words, images, a series of feature films and other things. And now she is ready to share because it "seems like the right time.” 15 second clips will be available prior to the release of the debut piece on Wednesdays.
Viewers can watch The Prologue No. 1-6 from Jennifer Elster’s The Being Experience and The Development Underground series now on ChannelELSTER.COM. Viewers can also enter their own experience at TheBeingExperience.com (via old school Flash). Exclusive interviews are available upon inquiry and scheduling.
About Jennifer Elster: Jennifer Elster is an American Experimentalist, a thinker, artist, filmmaker, writer, photographer, performer and founder of The Development, a private, underground, multi-faceted studio based in New York City where expansiveness is the currency. When asked by Rolling Stone Magazine “What inspired the project The Being Experience? Elster replied, ‘One question that I had in my mind, which I answered in the woods’. And what question would that be? She won't say.”
Simultaneously, Elster is debuting a raw luxury bag and accessory collection J. Elster which she originally designed for herself. Unfinished edges, jagged lines and unexpected cuts are signature elements in her original philosophy of design. http://www.JElster.NYC
