CD-adapco’s DARS v2.12 Accelerates Design Decision Process for Combustion and Chemical Process Engineers

New DARS release increases simulation throughput and enables users to explore more designs, faster

CD-adapco, the largest privately held CFD-focused provider of Computer Aided Engineering software, today announced the release of DARS v2.12, its simulation tool for the 0D and 1D management and analysis of chemical reactions. The new release focuses on boosting throughput when exploring new fuel blends under a wide range of operating conditions. The fuel libraries generated with DARS v2.12 can then be used to source combustion analysis carried out with STAR-CD® and STAR-CCM+®.

The new release, which is now available on the Steve Portal, makes customers more competitive through the software’s enhanced capabilities for productivity. Highlights of the release include:

> DARS v2.12 removes the requirement for HPC licenses. Analysis of combustion characteristics for different fuels and generation of combustion libraries can now be efficiently performed on any number of CPUs with a single DARS license.

> The robustness and user experience of DARS v2.12 is improved by offering several new features for easier handling and calculations.

> The workflow from DARS to STAR-CD and STAR-CCM+ has been improved. Users benefit now from fully compatible ECFM-CleH libraries and automatic interpolation for ECFM-TKI and ECFM-ClEH libraries, decreasing the need for manual re-calculations. Read more
