Customization is About More Than Just Looks

British Customs’ Weekend Projects series continues to put motorcycle customization in the hands of the average rider by featuring packages designed to transform the appearance of a bike, and will be giving away a pair of RAEN sunglasses to raise awareness for Riders for Health charity.

It’s often thought that motorcycle customization is prohibitively expensive or skill-intensive, but British Customs is smashing those stereotypes by introducing parts packages that can be used to completely transform a motorcycle in a weekend. This week as part of their Weekend Projects, they are featuring innovative Appearance Upgrades Packages that contain all the parts necessary to customize any Triumph motorcycle’s appearance. They have published on their newly redone blog a series of buyer’s guides on how to customize various motorcycle systems, such as seats, turn signals, and gauge clusters. These buyer’s guides are complemented by step-by-step installation guides and videos under their blog’s “How To” section.

“Customizing your own motorcycle is a satisfying and rewarding experience,” stated Jason Panther, President of British Customs. “We want to let the average rider be able to turn their own bike into the one they’ve always wanted with these heritage-inspired upgrades packages. We do that through making all of our parts bolt-on and plug ‘n play.”

British Customs is also hosting a GoPro Photo & Video Challenge, where anyone can submit photos or videos in a contest to win a GoPro camera. For the next six weeks, submissions will be judged according to a theme. The theme this week is “Seek More.”

British Customs’ Weekend Projects is also an initiative to raise awareness for Riders for Health charity, which uses motorcycles to deliver life-saving medical supplies to rural communities in Africa. In aid of Riders’ efforts, a CROIG X BC Edition 2015 Triumph Bonneville will be given away. Donate and register to win here.
