iaedp™ Unveils 2016 Symposium Schedule: The Complexity of Best Practices: Evolving and Changing

The International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals Foundation (iaedp) has released the 2016 program lineup for its 30th Annual Symposium in Amelia Island, Florida, featuring more than 40 total sessions that address the latest in eating disorder treatment, causes and science. The Symposium, with the theme “The Complexity of Best Practices: Evolving and Changing,” will take place over a five-day period, February 17- 21, 2016 and will feature six keynote speakers.
The symposium kicks off Wednesday, February 17 with the return of the highly popular pre-certification courses. The program offers professionals new to the field or who do not specialize in eating disorders a comprehensive introduction to eating disorders as well as professionals who specialize in eating disorders and want to be recognized as a certified professional, comprehensive eating disorder training courses in a two-day, 12-hour track.
Thursday, February 18 will feature 18 different sessions, including the conclusion of the pre-certification courses and the “Continuing the Legacy” party with both food and music highlighting the opening night event. Friday, February 19 highlights 22 different sessions from several keynote addresses to various poster presentations.
Keynote speakers also are among the 13 sessions on Saturday, February 20 as well as Spanish-only sessions, which return to the iaedp Symposium for a second year. The symposium closes on Sunday, February 21 with four sessions, including a final keynote presentation and various workshops.
